Teaching children about recycling: it is not only fun, it will save the Earth too!
It is common knowledge that children are the hope of our future. And educating the beginning of saving the planet will benefit the world. I take on this belief by teaching my own son who will be responsible for the environment. And I must admit that we both have fun learning new things as we have to both to explore the world of recycling . That's why I think we parents should take it upon ourselves to teach children about recycling, because it will definitely save our planet. Here are some tips on ways how to encourage our children to be more involved in saving our planet.
Recycling is the The most basic lesson you should teach your child to arrest environmental issues. Why, you ask? Well, it simply because recycling is fairly easy to follow. You just need to teach your child to identify the elements that can be recycled and teach him to separate. You can even make trips to recycling centers for a moment of connection.
You can also teach your children to plant trees. Planting trees will create more oxygen, thereby mitigating the effects of global the planet. I tried to do this activity with my son and he was so excited that we plant a tree in our backyard. He waters the plant every day and make sure it is enough sun. We also tried to work on the compost pile. He gathered some fruit and vegetable waste gathered in our kitchen and together we buried them with some dried leaves. Our next project is to plant vegetables that we can both enjoy eating once he grows up.
I also tried to teach my son how to ride. I promised to take to foot or bike to school together. I try to teach him to save gas and emissions of carbon monoxide. I would I said if we both walk to school, we will be healthier because we can exercise and we also contribute to our planet to breathe more fresh air.
We also tried a night without television or computer. We played games all night until we both got tired and sleepy. And then the next morning I told him I do not watch TV or play computer games once a week, we keep on electricity.
These are just some things that we both liked do. We are just beginning to explore life greener and we benefit. I hope these helpful tips, you can also take the time to be more creative and teach children about recycling and other green ideas.
